Water Transfer Printing
Velocity Hydro Graphics Inc. is a company that provides the service of water transfer printing. Commonly referred to as immersion printing, camo dipping, hydro printing, and cubic printing, These methods are a way of applying a printed design to flat and three dimensional objects. The Process The printing process can be applied to most non-porous materials such as metal, wood, plastic, stone, ceramic and some woods. After the part is prepped and sanded, a base coat paint is applied. The print is placed on the surface of a tank of water. A chemical activator is then applied to the print, activating the bonding agent. The base coated piece is now lowered in the tank of water, thru the print. The displacement of water wraps the print around the piece, and it adheres to to the part. After removing all residue from the part, clear coat is applied.
